Beth approached me having seen my work with Alabaster dePlume, who’d just guested on her first record in many years. She had this footage - two reels of 8mm shot by an artist in northern California, and some lip-sync shot on holiday with her family - and needed two music videos.
Over zoom calls with Josh from the label and a Whatsapp thread with Beth, we devised two videos. I assigned two of my favourite editors - Daisy Dickinson to edit Weather Alive, and Jack Ellister on Friday Night. Then with the videos assembled, Beth came to my studio in Dalston and together we actioned her feedback and finessed the final edits.
